Have you ever thought about what your life would look like as art in a museum?
During this activity, each participant will build their very own mini art museum using mixed media art-making and zine-making. The given theme, “2024 In Retrospect” will allow participants to pause, recollect and reflect on meaningful moments they have experienced throughout the year.

THIS WORKSHOP WELCOMES PARTICIPANTS OF ALL AGES.

What’s Included:
Each participant will leave with their own personalised mini art museum zine and receive special edition themed merchandise! We will provide all the necessary stationery and materials needed for this activity.

POPA TYPO LABO: Pop-Up Typography Workshop
Workshop by Popa Nota x Huruf
 

POPA TYPO LABO is a pop-up typography workshop and an introduction to three-dimensional typography and pop-up techniques. Learn the basic techniques of pop-ups and apply them to the creation of dimensional typographic designs! Participants will be able to take home a pop-up zine containing the ABCDs of paper engineering and a personalised pop-up typography card.

What’s Included:
Materials are provided on the day, including rulers, cutting mats, blades, scissors, and cardstock.  Participants will take home a small pop-up zine and a custom typography pop-up card.

What to Bring:
Participants are welcome to bring cutting, measuring, and writing tools they are comfortable with.

About Popa Nota:
David Ho is a multidisciplinary graphic designer and paper engineer with an interest in combining the craft of type design with the artistry of pop-ups. As a member of Malaysian typography collective Huruf Collective, he explores the intersection between paper engineering and letterforms through this unique pop-up typography workshop.

You Only Have 90 Minutes To Save The World

During this activity, participants will be transported into an alternate universe where they will have to travel back in time to save the world – but they only have 90 minutes! 

Participants will take part in a fun design jam that will involve mixed media art-making and zine-making, to build a time machine that will help them complete an important mission.

Planet Lens: Design Perspectives on Everyday Materials
Workshop by KOSEKO DESIGN&PRESS
 

In this workshop, you’ll use the design toy “”Planet Lens”” to explore “”Mitate”” (見立て), the Japanese art of reimagining one object as another. By placing Planet Lens on everyday materials, their surfaces will appear like planets, allowing you to see cosmic possibilities in ordinary objects. Participants can take home their created Planet Lens.

What’s Included:
Materials are provided on the day, including Planet Lens materials and masking tape. Participants are welcome to bring smartphone and scissors (not required, but please bring them if you have a preferred pair).

About KOSEKO DESIGN&PRESS:
A conceptual design unit consisting of Tomoyuki Koseko and Yafa Koseko, a Japanese-Chinese design team. Their work explores themes of perception and design through experimental graphics and optical toys. The duo has received the UNKNOWN ASIA Eric Zhu Award and recognition in KG+, and their work has been featured in art media such as Hyperallergic and Spoon & Tamago. In 2025, they are scheduled to join the artist-in-residence program at “Surfy Space” in Taiwan for a production residency.

Established in 2020, The Lostprints Community is a self-initiated group sincerely dedicated to preserving the letterpress and centuries old equipment inherited from the community to create artworks of letterpress and printmaking.
