"Monochrome Press"(preparing)
A3 size (420mm x 297mm) 8(or 12p)
I want to create a large-format book that feels like a newspaper - A3 in size,
which opens up to A2 when unfolded. In the past, I've made several large A1-sized posters, and I thought it would be interesting to turn that concept into a book I can flip through. The pages will be printed in black and white on paper with a texture similar to newsprint, then folded down to A4 size for distribution - so it might even look like an actual newspaper being sold. The book will feature around 8 to 12 pages of bold, black-and-white illustrations with enough impact that is wanted to hang them on a wall. Of course, it can be also kept folded and stored on a bookshelf. (The current illustrations are tentative; I plan to replace them with ones that have a stronger sense of narrative.)

"大阪 and 2 -Osanpo Tako-yaki kun"(preparing)
size 112mmx174mm 96p
This art book is a collection of illustrations based on sketches made in Tainan, Kaohsiung, and Jeju etc - places where I sensed a kindred atmosphere like Osaka. Each scene was paired with my original characters. The first volume(size 112mmx174mm 96 pages), printed in black and white on yellow paper with yellow-painted edges, was a limited edition of 500 copies and nearly sold out over two years. The upcoming second volume will feature entirely new illustrations, including scenes from my more recent travels to Vietnam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Continuing the concept of using paper color as a design element, this edition will be printed on orange paper - a compact, orange-toned book. (The current illustrations are tentative. I plan to replace with new ones.)
