Short Bio / About Organization:

vicwolfe.pdf is a loose collective of architecture-adjacent creatives working across writing, photography, drawing, and speculative design. Emerging from the shadows of ke lian de ke, the group remains preoccupied with failed utopias, imagined spaces, and critical spatial narratives. Their work moves between zines, installations, and absurd proposals — often produced under heat, pressure, and limited budgets. Still, they persist.

Publication/Work:

1. (K)L Pretty: Dang Wangi 02 : Welcome back to (K)L Pretty. If you thought the first issue scraped every layer of grime off Dang Wangi’s crumbling skin, think again. This second dive goes deeper—past the blue hoardings, the plywood roofs, and straight into the bone of KL’s urban madness. Here, we’re not just peeling back the layers; we’re slicing into them, exposing the nerves that scream of neglect, half-baked ambition, and the dissonance between what we dream and what we settle for.

In this zine we are heading towards another part of Dang Wangi. Beyond just our designer observation, we also undertook interviews with current and past occupants of Dang Wangi.

2. mmaaggii: an informal study of instant comfort : Somewhere between survival and self-expression sits a packet of instant noodles.

This isn’t a cookbook. There are no perfect measurements here only memories, hacks, heartbreaks, and the occasional slice of cheese. This is about Maggi (or whatever brand your nearest kedai sells), not as product, but as ritual: the 2 a.m. meal, the back-of-the-fridge invention, the taste that got you through broke weeks and bad breakups.

In between a recipe book and interpersonal interview, this zine aims to capture, share and reflect our lives that somewhat revolves around a packet of maggi.

3. traffic island: kuala lumpur 01 : In this zine, we dive headfirst into the overlooked, overcooked, and underloved world of traffic islands. We take that island — yes, the one sitting awkwardly in the middle of the junction like it’s waiting to be picked last in P.E. — and ask: could it be… better?

Through a series of collages and line drawings, we imagine alternative futures for these sad urban leftovers. Maybe it becomes a tiny pocket park. Maybe a misting station for sweaty commuters. Maybe a micro-stage for traffic-light busking. Maybe just a shady bench and a bit of dignity.

This zine isn’t about beautification. This is about the absurdity of cities designed for cars, with pedestrians treated as afterthoughts — tolerated but never welcomed. It’s about reclaiming even the smallest spaces from the tyranny of neglect. It’s about saying: If we have to wait to cross this godforsaken road, can we at least not roast alive while doing it?

Through conceptual proposal and drawings, we aim to raise awareness and improve our city.

4. installation 22-25: history and guide from an independent designer : I’ve often found myself in busy lots and parking decks, heritage buildings and shopping malls. At first, I was just someone watching from the sidelines. I thought to myself: I want to do something too. Something that could hold space, invite interaction, and leave a mark — even if only for a while.

Where others might see chaos — steel poles scattered on the ground, someone yelling for a drill, zip ties stuffed in every pocket, blood, sweat, and often, tears — I’ve come to see a kind of choreography. A temporary dance between design, labour, collaboration, weather, and compromise. A play of controlled chaos.

This zine collects that choreography.

It’s a personal archive of the installation projects I’ve been involved in over the years — built in different places, under different conditions, and always with different constraints. Some were solo efforts.

5. T-shirts: We are still planning on this one. But we are hoping that any apparel will be showcasing certain artworks, covers or drawings from our zines

6. Poster: Similarly with the T-shirts, mainly will be focusing on certain artworks, covers or drawings from our zines
