Paradise Systems publishes exemplary comics in translation. Inspired by, but unfaithful to comic conventions, we seek to create a community of writers and readers that relish in weird, sincere, experimental storytelling. Since 2017, we've released 26 comics, including the first major anthology of comics from China to be published in English.

Publication/Work:
1) Zine: A Incomplete Map of the Neverending Malls of KL: In 2023, we made an online interactive map to catalogue (and cope!) with the overabundance of mall in Kuala Lumpur. This year, we plan to make a printed zine copy, and update it for the latest and greatest malls that have popped up since. You find the online original here: https://neverendingmalls.byjasonli.com/
2) Artbook: Ritual Machine: Beijing-based cartoonist Toyoya Li's first long-form work is a mind-warping journey through a pixelated, dystopic future. After a showdown with the Virtual Wizard, will either of our fearless heroes make it back to meatspace? The front and back cover of this book are holographic prints featuring Li's GIFs. More information here: https://paradise-systems.com/products/ritual-machine
3) Artbook: Murmur: With her haunting, precisely-executed comics, Ganmu shows us an alternate reality, a world in which relationships warp everything around them. This book collects most of Ganmu's work from the past decade, including her stunning series of watercolor comics. After years of design and production work, this beautiful volume gives Ganmu's work the showcase it deserves. More information here: https://paradise-systems.com/products/murmur-ganmu
4) Artbook: Lost Things: The characters in fenta's work are moved by emotions that they cannot express or fully comprehend. These three vignettes each revolve around something that seems to be just out of reach, but vital. This book is part of Paradise Systems' series of contemporary lianhuanhua.
