Publication/Work:

cut (unpublished, new)
Non-linear fragments composed of Google Map street captures from the artist’s childhood town, the wild green, the rusty factory, surreal traces of dream illustration, and drawn textures from reality, reorganized into a new way of seeing. Mixed media printing (Risograph + digital).

SHH: soft spot
SHH is an experimental A2 zine merging comic, double-sided poster, and “quiet sign” into a single fold. It invites the reader to listen not only to the world around them, but to the echoes within. In this quiet volume, softness is both wound and window, where vulnerability isn’t weakness, but a sign of life. Each soft spot, once hidden, now rests in an open drawer—exposed, ready to be seen. Printed entirely in Risograph on a single A2 sheet, it folds into an 8-panel “scene roll” format. Inspired by continuous-form paper and film reels, it features signature punched holes along the edges.

room for mess
What lies between the unconscious image and the conscious act? Where do the inside and outside of ourselves meet? If your mind were a room what might be hiding in the corners or lost in the forgotten spaces? room for mess is a Risograph zine juxtaposing digital illustration and charcoal drawing, bound together with a connected treasury tag.

SUNSHOWER CITY: ONLY TOURIST
Pondering the significance of one’s hometown as time passes. Do they exist or are they a mirage? An illustrated zine, set in Sunshower City, Penang, Malaysia, centres on ordinary people who are seen in public spaces like kopitiam and ferry. The zine attempts to capture the absurdity of everyday life from the perspective of a tourist. Other than our nostalgic filters, what does “hometown” mean?

soft spot series
Risograph art prints featuring charcoal and soft pastel drawings, focused on reframing trauma and violence. An ongoing exploration of perception, memory, and tenderness

Riso Chirashi series
Riso Chirashi is a project initiated by Shu, where she illustrates film posters after watching the films and prints them using a Risograph. The goal is simple: to capture a film’s essence and entice viewers to watch it.

Daydreaming postcard series
What dream have you clocked in today? A 24-slot punch card rack displays a collection of Risograph-printed postcards, each a reflection of the hours in our day.
